In the second Test match against England in Multan, Pakistan captain Shan Masood won the toss and chose to bat. England leads the three-match series 1-0 after their significant victory in the first Test by an innings and 47 runs.
This defeat prompted significant changes in the Pakistan squad, with ace batsman Babar Azam being dropped alongside pace bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah. Spinner Abrar Ahmed was also ruled out due to illness. Making his debut is batsman Kamran Ghulam.
