Pakistan has recently dispatched its second consignment of humanitarian aid to Lebanon, aimed at supporting those affected by ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon. The latest shipment, consisting of around 100 tons of essential supplies—including medicines, ready-to-eat meals, tents, bedding, winter clothing, and powdered milk—was sent from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport to Beirut.
The ceremony for the aid dispatch was attended by officials from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Al-Khidmat Foundation. They highlighted the urgent need for assistance in the war-torn regions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting affected communities.
This shipment marks Pakistan’s 12th humanitarian effort, following 10 previous consignments sent to Palestine. In response to the ongoing crisis, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal recently announced the establishment of the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Gaza and Lebanon,” which will collect public donations to further assist those in need.
