Bollywood actor Salman Khan is reportedly devastated after the tragic killing of his close friend, politician Baba Siddique. Siddique, known for hosting lavish Iftar dinners annually, sustained fatal bullet injuries after being shot three times in Mumbai. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital, Siddique was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Salman Khan, deeply shaken by the news, immediately rushed to the hospital after learning of the incident. According to Indian media outlets, the actor was unable to sleep and is in immense grief over the loss of his dear friend. A source close to Salman revealed that Siddique was not only a friend but also like family to the actor.
“Salman Khan is devastated and in a lot of pain after losing his very dear friend Baba Siddique,” the source stated. Salman, affectionately known as “Bhai” in the Bollywood industry, has been actively involved in overseeing funeral arrangements and has canceled all personal meetings for the next few days.
The killing of Baba Siddique has been linked to a gang rivalry. A Facebook post by a member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claimed responsibility for the assassination. The post alleged that Siddique was targeted due to his connections with Salman Khan and underworld figures.
In the wake of this tragic event, security has been heightened outside Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai. Additional security personnel have been stationed as a precautionary measure, while the Khan family has requested friends and acquaintances to refrain from visiting Salman at this time.
Baba Siddique, 65, was a prominent Muslim political figure in Maharashtra, having held various positions, including Minister for Labor, FDA, and Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies. However, he was more widely known for his socialite persona and his annual Iftar parties, which drew major figures from the political and entertainment spheres.
